Visitor Information

Welcome to Compass Community Church!

We would love to meet you! Join us Sunday mornings at 10:00 AM

What to Expect

Our Service begins Sunday Morning at 10:00 am.

We love to sing a variety of songs which praise and magnify our Lord Jesus Christ, celebrating what God has done for us through Him.  While we would best label our music style as “contemporary”, on any given Sunday you can expect to sing both new songs along with a couple of older ones which we believe powerfully praise the name of Jesus.

Our services typically last around 1 hour and 15 minutes.   We begin with a time of musical worship, which is interspersed with Scripture readings, Announcements, and our financial offering.  While our visitors are encouraged to participate in all aspects of worship, our offering is specifically for the Compass Church family and it is not necessary for a visitor to give.

Following these things, we hear the Word of God preached , which is again followed by a song.  The first Sunday of Each month we also celebrate Communion together, and we invite all who know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour to join in this time of remembrance with us.

CompassKids Children ministries provide Childcare during the service for children age 0-Gr. 5. The nursery is broken into two age-groups, newborn – Age 1 are in one room, while the 2 and 3 year olds are in an adjoining room where they are taught a Bible Story and sing some songs at their age level.

Beginning at JK, the children move into a contemporary, fun and exciting children’s ministry, where the children have their own worship service, and learn from teachers who excel in applying the truth of God’s word to the hearts and minds of young worshippers. This portion of CompassKids sees kids from JK-Gr. 5 come together for a time of musical worship and Bible Story, before dividing into smaller groups for more specific application and activities.

Whatever you like! (Well, Almost!) We want people to come dressed comfortably and respectfully, according to their ability and preference. We believe that God is more concerned about the attitude of our hearts when we come to worship Him, than the appearance of our clothes. Whether you want to wear shorts, pants, a dress, T-shirt, or even a suit, you will be greeted with a smile and welcomed into our community of Worship.

One of the easiest ways to get connected at Compass is to grab a “connection card” on the information table as you enter into the Worship Centre, or, you can ask an usher or other member to get you one. On this Card, you can fill out your contact information, and there is a list of ways that you can get connected. Check the ones that you are interested in, place that card in the offering plate, or pass it to an usher, and we will get back to you with more information about how you can get involved in Compass Church.

Even better than that card though, we would love to meet you! Our hope is that each person who comes into Compass would be greeted warmly, and connected quickly to some people who can help them become a part of the Compass Church Family.

Our kid’s ministry runs concurrent with the Worship Service. On Sunday mornings we offer programming for infants to children in grade 6. The safety and security of your children is very important to us and all our adult volunteers have up to date volunteer screening. We also have a secure sign in/sign out policy. Compass Kids are divided into age appropriate groups in order to provide the best care and teaching time for each developmental stage.

CompassYouth is a discipleship and outreach ministry of Compass Church, seeking to raise up youth who love God and love one another. CompassYouth ministers both to the Youth of our Compass Church community, as well as the Youth within our local Pond Mills community. It is our mission to proclaim the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ to every student with relevance.

Our desire for our Women at Compass is that we would be growing together in our Love for God and for one another. This will happen as we devote ourselves together to study His Word, as we commit to times of fellowship with one another, and as we use our gifts to serve one another and our community.

We minister to the men of Compass for the purpose of building a strong community of men whose lives are rooted in the Word of God, who lead their Church and families well, and who spur one another on toward growth in Jesus Christ.

Hearts & Needles

The mission of the Hearts & Needles is to show God’s love and power as we meet practical and spiritual needs in local and global areas. We strive to care for the needs of others with compassion. Hearts & Needles with a mission is open to all ladies with time on a Monday looking for a safe environment and time away from family demands. A time to help others in the giving of their time and talents supporting the projects in progress.

Small Groups

Compass Point groups give us an opportunity to have fellowship, study the Bible and be in prayer for one another. Some groups meet weekly and others every other week. Each group choose their own material from a wide range of excellent resources. They are selected to encourage you as you grow in faith and obedience to God’s Word.
