Youth

What is Compass Youth?

Compass Youth is a discipleship ministry of Compass Church that seeks to help raise up youth who love God and love one another. We exist to partner with parents, guardians and the community in the education and spiritual formation of their child/children’s (Grades 6 to 12) faith journey. We take this seriously and seek to engage our youth in relevant and real ways with the gospel of Jesus Christ and believe in:

  • The centrality of the Word of God in all we do.
  • Creating a fun and safe place for all to learn, grow and thrive in together.
  • Leadership development through greater training, opportunity and discipleship.
  • Creating greater opportunities for our youth to give and serve.
  • Living out the truth of Scripture.

Our Focus:

For this year, our focus is on discipleship, service, accountability and mentorship. In all we do this year, these will be what we will be working on as we work with youth in their journey of seeking after and following the Lord. Our hope is that as a whole we will be a church that seeks to serve and grow every generation together, a family in Him.

Our Format:

We have a bi- weekly time of study and on the alternate week have our I.C.E. nights where we seek to Inspire, Create and Engage with youth in ways that bring one face to face with the truth of God’s word, encourage one to live their faith and use what God has given us for His glory. Both these nights are fun filled, relevant and focus on how we can live, learn, grow and apply the truths of Scripture into our daily lives.

This year for our bi-weekly study times we will be looking at How to Read the Bible.

Our Youth:

Hold each other to a creed they have established that espouse the values of Respecting God, Others and Ourselves.

Keep an eye on the church calendar to see what’s coming up but feel free to come check us out on any given Wednesday, doors open at 6:30 PM for youth (We use the back entrance off of Almond street).
