Our Statement of Faith

We Believe in…

The Bible

That The Bible is the inspired word of God, therefore it cannot err, and is our final authority in faith and life.

Triune God

In the Triune God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ

In Jesus Christ, the incarnate Son of God, one in nature, substance, and power with God –He is God Himself!

Virgin Birth

In the Virgin Birth, that Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, was given a human body, and yet was sinless in every way.

Substitutionary Sacrifice

In the Substitutionary Sacrifice of Jesus Christ. That after living a perfect life, Jesus died in the place of those who would put their faith in Him alone for their Salvation.

Bodily Resurrection

In the Bodily Resurrection of Jesus Christ, that he arose from the dead in the same body in which He was Crucified.

The Ascension

In the The Ascension of Jesus Christ, and that He now sits at the right hand of God the Father, acting as our eternal and faithful High Priest.

Holy Spirit

In the Holy Spirit, the 3rd member of the Trinity, who was sent by God, through Jesus Christ, to take up residence in the hearts of every believer; uniting us with Christ, and empowering us to live according to the character of Christ.

The existence and mitigated power of Satan our Adversary

In the existence and mitigated power of Satan our Adversary. He is a created angelic being who rebelled against God and therefore fell. At present, Satan is our tempter, our adversary, and our accuser; but his destiny is eternal destruction.

The Fall

In The Fall of all mankind. That all men and women were created in the image of God, and were meant to enjoy perfect relationship with Him. However, that through willful disobedience humanity has fallen from this perfect relationship, and is steeped in and mastered by sin; completely and totally unable to earn or merit again the relationship with God we were created to enjoy.

Salvation

In the gracious gift of Salvation through Jesus Christ. That through faith in His perfect life, substitutionary sacrifice, and resurrection from the dead, we to may have and know eternal life. This eternal life makes us a new creation in Jesus Christ, free from the destructive power of Sin, and alive to the righteousness of Jesus Christ.
